What do I get with Pro?

Everything in Free with no daily cap, plus the tools for the night before a conference: a larger monthly search allowance you can spend at any pace, drafting position papers, memos, and speeches as documents, deep research, file analysis, automations, custom briefings, and research memory. There is one paid plan, so the only choice is monthly or annual billing.

How are searches counted?

One search is one question or follow-up that completes. A search that fails costs nothing. Free accounts get 200 on day one and 50 more every day; the daily 50 refills in place rather than stacking. Pro has no daily cap. Reading Discover, country profiles, and lessons never counts.

How does the Pro trial work?

Pro starts with a 3-day free trial. A card is entered when you start it, but nothing is charged until the trial ends — cancel any time in those 3 days from Settings → Billing and you pay nothing. If you don't cancel, Pro starts automatically at the price shown on the card you picked. The Free plan is separate and never needs a card.

How does annual billing work?

Annual is billed once up front and works out to 40% less than paying month to month (Pro comes to $12/mo, billed $144/year). You keep access for the full year and can cancel anytime.

Can I switch plans or cancel?

Yes, anytime. Switch between monthly and annual billing from Settings → Billing, and cancel whenever you like — you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. No cancellation fees.

What's free without a subscription?

AI research: 200 searches on your first day and 50 every day after, each one answered by the same engine as Pro with a cited primary source. Plus every Learn course and lesson, every Discover story and briefing, and every country profile. No card, no subscription.

I don't have a card. Can a parent pay?

Yes. From any upgrade screen choose “Ask a parent to pay” and you get a link and QR code to send on WhatsApp or by message. Their payment upgrades your account; the link stays valid for hours, so they can pay when they have a moment.

Is the desktop assistant a separate plan?

Accepted Answer

No. The desktop assistant is in development and free for everyone on the waitlist while it's in beta — it isn't a new tier, an add-on, or a reason your current plan costs more. There is still one paid plan, and the only choice is monthly or annual.

What payment methods do you accept?

Major credit and debit cards, processed securely by Stripe, billed in USD. In India, checkout is in rupees (₹699/month or ₹4,999/year) and accepts UPI as well as cards.
