The research tool your students aren't supposed to use ChatGPT for.
High school MUN clubs, debate teams, IB Diploma Programmes, and AP Government classes all face the same problem: students will use AI for research no matter what the policy says. Model Diplomat is the AI you can actually let them use — citation-first, source-verifiable, and designed to be a research tool, not a ghostwriter.

01
Students are already using ChatGPT — you just don't see it
Every high school in America has the same problem: students who use ChatGPT for position papers, history DBQs, and IA drafts, and teachers who can't reliably tell the difference. The honest move isn't to ban AI; it's to give them a tool with built-in academic integrity.
02
Your MUN advisor doesn't have time to teach research from scratch
Advising the MUN team is usually a 'collateral duty' for a teacher who already has a full course load. Model Diplomat scaffolds the research process — country profiles, position paper structure, debate prep — so the advisor can focus on coaching, not curating.
03
Your debate team needs evidence that holds up
Public Forum, Lincoln-Douglas, Policy, and Worlds all reward evidence quality. Cards cut from Wikipedia or random blogs lose rounds against teams with real primary sources. Model Diplomat surfaces the primary sources directly.
What you get.
Built for AP, IB, and civics curricula
AP Government, AP Comparative Politics, AP World History, IB Global Politics, IB History — all map onto Model Diplomat's knowledge base. Real primary sources for every unit.
Team-wide access for clubs
MUN and debate teams can use Model Diplomat together. Shared search history, team workspaces (in development), and consistent research tools across the whole roster.
Academic-integrity by design
Citation-first architecture means students leave an audit trail. Output isn't ready-to-submit essay text — it's research and drafts that students must read, understand, and rewrite. The same standard as using a library catalog.
Teacher dashboard (coming)
Optional teacher access to see how students are using the tool — same way teachers see Google Classroom activity. In development; reach team@modeldiplomat.com to pilot.
Pre-built MUN and civics lesson resources
Model Diplomat's Learn module includes structured lessons on the UN system, diplomatic protocol, position-paper writing, and crisis-committee mechanics — usable as classroom resources.
Works across language-learning constraints
Many MUN delegates research countries whose primary sources are not in English. Model Diplomat surfaces and contextualizes non-English primary sources, helping ELL students engage with materials at their language level.
Common questions.
How do schools actually adopt this?
Most adoption is bottom-up — an MUN advisor or AP teacher tries it, students start using it, and the program grows organically. Reach out to team@modeldiplomat.com if you want to discuss school-wide licensing or want to be part of the teacher-dashboard pilot.
What about academic-honesty policies?
Model Diplomat is structured as a research tool, not a ghostwriter — every answer cites real primary sources, and outputs are drafts students must edit into their own voice. Same standard as letting students use Google Scholar or JSTOR. Most school AI policies that explicitly distinguish 'research assistance' from 'writing for the student' allow Model Diplomat use; check your specific policy.
Cost?
Core access is free for students. Pro ($3/week or $10/month) unlocks unlimited search and specialist tools. Most students do the bulk of their work on the free tier.
Is this only for MUN programs?
MUN is our origin community, but Model Diplomat is built for any politics/IR/government research. AP Gov, AP World, IB Global Politics, History DBQs, civics units, debate research — all in scope.
