WAVEMUN 2024

Welcome to WaveMUN - the World Affairs Virtual Experience Model United Nations - hosted from Bridgewater, New Jersey!

Please read the entirety of this description.

This conference will be hosted through Zoom, on November 23rd, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm EST/UTC-5 (with a one-hour break). We hope to present an international platform, free of charge! Delegates can learn to engage in diplomatic discourse, spread global awareness, and create leadership skills. 

Important information to note:

• While a Position Paper is not mandatory, it will be beneficial and grant eligibility to earn the Best Position Paper award.
• Questions will be answered through email (wavemunc@gmail.com).
• The WaveMUN Discord will contain all the necessary information for delegates (https://discord.gg/WVmbErWCxs). 
• The WaveMUN Instagram can provide extra information, such as schedules and chair introductions (https://www.instagram.com/wavemun_conference/)
• This conference will not be possible without you. Please spread the word about WAVEMUN across all peers.
• WaveMUN will feature a keynote speaker!

WaveMUN will offer the following committees for 2024:

• United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) - This committee will be featured at the beginner level. The chairs will be Kush Dave and Vikrant Khanvilkar.
• Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC) - This committee will be featured at the intermediate level. The chairs are still being determined

The following awards will be given out for each committee:

• ​​Best Position Paper
• Honorable Mention
• Outstanding Delegate
• Best Delegate
