VHSMUN 2021

Dear Delegations,

I'm excited to extend our invitation, in name of the General Secretariat, to take part in the first edition of Venezuelan High School Model of United Nations (VHSMUN), a conference that thrives to establish a national and international MUN Conference in Venezuela at a High School level to unify the various delegation once a year to showcase their effort, preparation, academic knowledge and talent in the various committees. In this edition we count with a total of 16 committees divided in UN, Regional and Special committees with issues from the past, present and future, as well as introducing new procedures like HMUN and Model Congress. All our committees are open for delegates from the 6th Grade all the way to two years of graduating High School with the clear goal of expanding the demand and performance of the delegates in a variety of issues, guaranteeing a place to learn for those starting out and to practice for those more advanced so to share their experience in all levels in anyway they can. Standing by our goal of promoting international diversity, with 5 English Committees and a Mixed one being Press Corps. Our conference will be held on June 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th of 2021 online with the Jitsi platform which completely free and permits access through link that we'll facilitate directly to the delegates. The cost per delegate will be 1$ or the exchange in Bolivares Soberanos, and per delegation will be 1.5$ or the respective exchange. All Booklets will be published in a Drive that will be available and the receipt from paying the registration will be required to be able to give access to the delegation. Taking into account that Jitsi is not a widely used platform like Zoom or Google Meet, the General Secretariat will hold a Faculties Meeting on  April 23rd at 3:00 pm (Caracas)  to show how to use the platform and answer any questions about the conference. Either way, a tutorial video will be released on our social media, web page and YouTube channel to facilitate the message to the delegates. With nothing more to add, I again express our excitment to be able to count on you in this very important moment that not even the pandemic could stop.
