SPXMUN 2023

Honorable future chairs and delegates, 

What better place than Aix en Provence to demonstrate your diplomatic skills and discuss a topic of international matter while enjoying the provençal sunny weather? 

We are honored to welcome you to Aix en Provence for the Model United Nations of the prestigious SciencesPo Aix establishment! This year, the committees deal with various subjects, more or less difficult, where university students as well as high school students will defend a country’s position on the chosen topic, in English or in French. Here are our four committees: 

• UNWomen: “ Working conditions of sex workers”, in partnership with Mauvais Genre, the feminist association of Sciences Po Aix!
• ECOSOC: “Tackling global water distribution”
• UNSC: “Protecting civilians in the sudanese crisis”
• UNESCO: “La restitution du patrimoine à leur pays d’origine”. 
  
   

Participants are welcomed to attend the opening ceremony on friday 24th of november 2023 at 6pm, which will be followed by a cocktail where you will have the possibility to meet the intervenants and the participants of the MUN. On Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th  the debates in the different committees will take place, as well as the social night on Saturday. We will formally end this conference with the closing ceremony, where the chairs will announce the award’s winners.  

This MUN is a great occasion to debate on topic of international matter while discovering our beautiful and typically provençale town. For high school students planning on studying International Relations, it is also a great opportunity to discover Sciences Po Aix!
