About

Model United Nations is an internationally recognized extracurricular activity that exposes students to current events while honing real-world skills such as critical thinking, diplomacy, research, negotiation, debate, and policy-making. As an academic simulation of the United Nations, students act as delegates from their assigned countries to advance their interests through delivering speeches, forming alliances, and sponsoring resolutions, among others.

The 6th Xavier Model United Nations Secretariat has adopted the theme of “Directing the Renaissance of Diplomacy for Peace and Prosperity.” Delegates will charter a course through the ever-changing political climate and global realities while they strive towards a new renaissance of diplomacy. With this in mind, delegates will take charge and direct bold change for renewed peace and prosperity.

The 6th XMUN Conference, the largest interscholastic conference in the Philippines, will be conducted through a hybrid set-up, comprising eight onsite committees and one online committee. The onsite committees will take place at the campus of Xavier School San Juan while the online committee will be conducted through Zoom and Discord.
