About

SiegMUN 2017 – Find your preference!

SiegMUN is proud to invite you to the 8th annual conference, hosted in the heart of the idyllic Siegerland region of North Rhine Westphalia. Join our local and international students in a young but impactful tradition. For the first time, this conference will take place not only in the university, but will also be co-hosted by the city of Siegen. The 2017 edition of SiegMUN embraces the uniqueness of the area with an atypical offering of three committees: UN Women, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM). There will also be a diligent Press Corps covering the conference’s action. This year’s conference encourages students to test the waters of these rarely embraced committees and looks forward to four days of fruitful discourse, friends made, and above all, lessons learned. As always, the culture of SiegMUN opens itself to both beginner students as well as the more-seasoned participants. Not only are the participants from different universities, but many stem from various the high schools within Germany and Europe. This promotes an excellent, comfortable learning environment, which has witnessed both university and high school students alike find success and begin fruitful Model UN careers. Every participant will have the chance to dive into these exciting organisations, from a new perspective, and find their individual preference! So please join us, November 15-November 18, 2017. Please note that delegates from abroad will only be recognized for participation if they have a valid visa. Unfortunately, the organisational team of SiegMUN cannot provide any help concerning visa procedures.
