About

Topic : Fostering Global Welfare Amidst Technological Innovation (AGE LIMIT- 18 YEARS OLD)

NOVOMUN is an exciting opportunity for students to engage in dynamic debates, develop leadership and negotiation skills, and explore global issues from the perspectives of United Nations member states. This year the conference will stimulate various UN committees, including the General Assembly, the Security Council, among other committees, with the topic of “Fostering Global Welfare amid Technological Innovation”.

We would like to warmly invite your school to join us by registering your delegation to represent assigned countries during this conference.

How was NOVOMUN born?

After gathering experience and practical knowledge, developing our hard and soft skills, we now believe we are ready to take a step forward. As individuals who want to play an active role in the world, we set ourselves the challenge of developing our own MUN in which we intend to continue this practice of active and relevant debates for society, integrating contemporary themes that, as citizens, we have an obligation to address. The NOVOMUN project is a dynamic educational experience designed to simulate the work carried out at the United Nations. This is a project by students, for students.

What are the advantages of participating in NOVOMUN?

Skills development:
- Public speaking: Delegates develop the ability to articulate ideas quickly and persuasively in English;
- Research, analysis and writing: Delegates learn to delve into complex topics, analyse data and synthesize information, as well as draft position papers and resolutions;
- Critical thinking: Delegates are challenged to think quickly, respond and counter-argue, proposing innovative solutions;
- Self-confidence: Public speaking helps delegates overcome fears of exposure and boost their self-esteem;
- Resilience: Facing difficult questions or negotiating with opposing points of view strengthens the ability to adapt and make continuous efforts;
- Empathy and cultural sensitivity: Representing another country allows delegates to see the world from a new perspective, understanding different values and cultures;
- Leadership: Participating as a delegate, committee chair or member of the organization allows for real practice in leadership and team management;
- Networking: Conferences bring together delegates from different regions or countries, creating a global network of contacts;

- Global awareness: Dealing with issues such as poverty, the refugee crisis or nuclear disarmament, among others, leads participants to develop an in-depth understanding of global challenges and the importance of international cooperation;
- Teamwork and diplomacy: Delegates collaborate to reach consensus even with individuals representing opposing viewpoints, thus developing negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Finally, participating in NOVOMUN is a transformative experience that combines intellectual rigor with practical skills, making it a valuable opportunity for academic, social and professional growth.
