About

The conference.

We live in a world where polarization is growing increasingly, with wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, and the rise of far-right powers in Europe and throughout the world, international communication and cooperation suffer. This growing lack of ability to listen to each other and make political concessions can lead to detrimental consequences to global security.

Therefore, our conference’s main aim is to come up with ways to find this common ground and stop the polarization leading us to oblivion.

Explore Kyrenia, Cyprus.

Cyprus, an island nation in the Mediterranean Sea, boasts a rich diplomatic history dating back to ancient times. Its strategic location has made it a crossroads for civilizations, leaving behind a rich cultural and historical heritage.

During their free time in Kyrenia the delegates can appreciate the natural beauty of the Kyrenia mountains, go on a walk around the ancient harbor, or explore Cypriot history at the Kyrenia and St. Hilarion castles.

Just a 30-minute drive away, Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus, offers the delegates even more opportunities to explore even more historical sites, such as the Venetian walls, Büyük Han (the largest caravanserai on the island), and the Selimiye Mosque.

Venue: The English School of Kyrenia.

MUNKY 2025 is proudly hosted by The English School of Kyrenia. The school campus boasts modern and well-equipped facilities, including spacious classrooms that will be used as committee rooms, the great hall for the plenary session, and plenty of outdoor areas for the delegates to unwind and enjoy warm Cypriot weather.

During the conference, all delegates will be provided with lunches, refreshments as well as stationary supplies.
