MIT MUN is a 2-day conference being held in the city of Pune, India on October 12 & 13, 2016. Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN conference, is an extra-curricular activity in which students typically role-play delegates to the United Nations and simulate UN committees. At these conferences, delegates get to represent member-states of the United Nations or unique characters as they face either preplanned topics or unpredictable crises “both of which test their skills in diplomacy. Participants choose a country and research their chosen country's position regarding a specific topic. After preparation, they step into the shoes of diplomats and represent this country in a committee. They debate, convince, bring forward new solutions and solve a world conflict with their own resolution. We, at MIT MUN, promise to deliver high standards of debates and an enriching overall experience.
