We are honored to invite you to take part in the second edition of the Marrakech International Summit Model of United Nations (MISMUN 2026), which will be held in the city of Marrakech from March 27 to 29, 2026.
In the spirit of UN conferences, MISMUN provides a unique platform for dialogue, negotiation, and diplomatic simulation for young leaders, students, and engaged citizens from around the world. As a true crossroads of ideas and cultures, this event is part of a broader effort to promote global citizenship education, multilateral cooperation, and responsible governance.
This edition will focus on a timely and globally significant theme: “Building a Secure and Ethical Cyberspace.”
In an age of accelerated digitization, cyberspace has become a realm of opportunities, but also of serious vulnerabilities. Geopolitical concerns related to cybersecurity are growing rapidly: the proliferation of cyberattacks, digital espionage, information warfare, and hybrid threats are challenging international stability and national sovereignty.
On the economic front, cybercrime causes losses amounting to billions of dollars each year, impacting businesses, critical infrastructure, and financial markets. Additionally, the digital economy raises major issues concerning regulation, technological sovereignty, and equitable access to digital resources.
On the societal level, the question of digital ethics is becoming crucial: how can we protect personal data, prevent disinformation, safeguard fundamental rights online, combat hate speech, and foster an inclusive digital culture that respects human dignity?
These are the challenges that MISMUN 2026 participants will be invited to address, representing delegations from UN member states, in a rigorous and multilingual working environment. Debates will be held in French, English, Arabic, and Spanish, in a spirit of diversity, mutual respect, and cooperation.
Your participation in this edition would undoubtedly enrich the quality of the discussions and help advance collective reflection on the major transformations of our digital world.
