It is our distinct pleasure to invite all of you to the pilot conference of Manila Model United Nations 2022 (MMUN), to be held virtually from July 2nd to July 3rd, 2022.
MMUN, established by the Venture MUN Club in 2022, was created with the goal of building a vibrant community of geopolitically aware youth in the Philippines, in Asia, and across the globe. We strive to offer our delegates an unrivalled Model UN experience by collaborating with esteemed partners, engaging determined and dedicated individuals, and ensuring high standards of academic compliance.
One way we achieve this is with our rigorous chair selection process, allowing us to handpick chairs at the top of their league, ensuring that the quality of the conference is not compromised. We do this with the ambition of collecting delegates from around the world, in order to make one of the most challenging Model UN in the Philippines.
Our pilot conference will feature two committees, which are as follows:
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP): Increasing climate resilience and capacity measures for developing nations
Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC): Mitigating the economic effects of ageing populations around the world
In the meantime, please refer to our Instagram page (@manilamun) for a more detailed description of the conference. Registration has already commenced. We highly encourage you to register earlier to be guaranteed your preferred placement in committees as we only have a limited number of slots for our pilot conference.
