Loktantra, now in its second edition, stands as a dynamic platform powered by the Delhi University Students Union, with its roots firmly grounded in the passion and dedication of its founder, Akshay Raghav. Building on the success of its maiden edition, which saw a remarkable turnout of over 400 delegates, Loktantra has become a prominent player in the realm of public speaking and discourse. This student-led initiative goes beyond the conventional, presenting a diverse range of events such as Model United Nations, Mock Parliament, IPL Auction, and Shark Tank, creating an engaging and immersive experience for participants.
In its inaugural edition, Loktantra hosted distinguished personalities like P Chidambaram, former Finance Minister of India, as the chief guest. The event also boasted the presence of eminent figures like Rocky Tussed, ex-President of Delhi University Students Union, Ashish Lamba, ex-Secretary of Delhi University Students Union, and Tarun Dagar, ex-Election Commission of Delhi University Students Union, who graced the occasion as guests of honor. With over two years of dedicated work in the field of public speaking, Loktantra continues to evolve and inspire the next generation of leaders and speakers, creating a space where ideas converge and voices resonate.
