This years theme, “environment and nature: a global call to action” challenges you to tackle the pressing issues facing our planet in an unforgettable setting surrounded by lush greenery and serene waters. We offer 2 comittees that contain the discussion on how to improve environmental footprint. These comittees are:

  1. United Nations Environmental Programme- UNEP
  2. World Health Organisation- WHO
  • SOCIALS

Our socials will make the most of the island Scharfenbergs stunning environment by taking place in Nature instead of being indoors. These Socials will be:

  1.  A beach party including fun activities like Swimming and beach games to relax with your fellow delegates and socialize outside of the formal ModelUN environment.
  2.  An evening campfire to relax and socialize, with classic nostalgic campfire snacks like marshmallows and traditional german “Stockbrot”.
  • ABOUT

Seize this chance to engage with fellow changemakers, explore solutions, and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of this iconic island. Spaces are limited- register now to secure your place!

With its abundant biodiversity and distinctive natural setting, Scharfenberg Island offers a perfect stage for a climate action-focused Model UN. As we inhabit this sensitive ecosystem, the matter of climate change is particularly dear to us. Our island exemplifies both the beauty and fragility of nature, motivating us to tackle environmental challenges with fervor and immediacy. This special connection to our surroundings drives our commitment to fostering meaningful dialogue and action to protect the planet.

The conference is organized by a group of students and their teachers of the Highschool “Schulfarm Insel Scharfenberg” in Berlin, who wish to provide other students with a safe place to challenge their debating and problem-solving skills.
