IMUNCNY is a virtual International Model United Nations that is part of a New York School in Bogotá, Colombia, initiative that transports the diplomatic simulation experience to a digital environment. Here, students assume the roles of delegates, addressing and resolving global challenges in real time through virtual platforms. This modality allows active participation from anywhere, expanding the scope and diversity of perspectives involved.
You can participate from anywhere in the world!
New York School's International Virtual Model United Nations has as its main objectives: to expand the educational experience beyond physical boundaries, connecting students from different cultures in a common learning space; to employ digital tools to enrich the educational process, promoting interactive and modern teaching; to develop essential digital skills in young people to navigate today's world with proficiency; to foster critical thinking and complex problem solving through debate and analysis; and to ensure inclusion and diversity, providing equal opportunities for participation to students from diverse backgrounds, thus enriching the dialogue with multiple perspectives.
To contribute to the personal and academic growth of our delegates, this year we will offer as a prize three scolarships, of 50%, 40% and 30%, to participate in the UNESCO Center for Peace IMUN at Hood College in Maryland, USA, from July 20 to August 2.
