Expect this conference to be the best two days you would invest this summer ! At the end whether you win an award or not you can expect an official certificate for participation really helping in your college applications as you will be a participant of an international conference with participants form all over the globe .
Awards will be given on the basis of strict marking following the 10 point system where points are divided according to :
- Position papers , draft resolutions and all such documents
- Staying on specified stance in accordance to country
- Debate style , fluency , structure , content ,and, persuasiveness (observes overall over the course of 2 days )
- Raising of UNMOD and MODs ( NUMBER AND THE TOPIC TO SEE HOW WELL DELEGATES CAN CHANGE COURSE OF DEBATE TOWARDS A SPECIFIED DISCUSSION OF SUBTOPIC )
- ALL MARKING POINTS CONTAIN UNEVEN SPREAD OF POINTS HIGHEST POINTS ARE ALLOCATED FOR DEBATE STYLE , FLUENCY AND CONTENT .
Also a special additon :
ILDMUN invites delegates to partake in the optional essay contest to have a chance to be recognized at the closing ceremony and to receive special recognition along with a certificate . This contest is designed to help delegates improve their writing and argumentation skills. The details of this year’s contest are as follows:
Respond to one of the prompts below in 1,000 words or fewer:
- Question:
In what ways are advancements in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity redefining the global power landscape, and can these technologies be strategically leveraged to foster international collaboration rather than exacerbate tensions—particularly in areas such as cyber defense and data sharing? - Question:
How can nations effectively reconcile the competing demands of domestic policy—such as economic stability and public health—with international commitments like climate change mitigation and global security, and are there scenarios where prioritizing national interests might undermine or, conversely, strengthen global efforts Question :
Discuss how nations can balance their domestic priorities with their responsibilities to the global community. Should national interests ever take precedence over international obligations?
Essay guidelines and submission instructions:
- 1,000 words or fewer
- This essay should be an argumentative essay with a clear original thesis. Please do not write stories or dialogues.
- No outside sources are necessary, however, if you do use them, please cite your sources.
- Essays should be engaging and be sure to share your voice!
- Essays should be written in size 12 Times New Roman font, double spaced in PDF format. No other formats of the essay will be accepted. Please do not include any pictures or borders in your submission
- Essay heading should include your name, and the number of the prompt that you are writing the essay for.
- All essays should be your original work — we will not accept any essays that is suspected of being written in full or partly by another person or artificial intelligence (e.g., ChatGPT)

UNW Topic: Ending Violence Against Women Background Violence against women is a well-known global problem that affects millions. It includes domestic abuse, sexual harassment, and other forms of gender-based violence. This issue not only harms individual women and their families but also weakens entire communities. The goal is to create safe societies for all by reducing and eventually eliminating such violence.
