HabsMUN 2026

Hello, and welcome to HabsMUN 2026!

We are delighted to invite you to the 18th annual Haberdashers’ Elstree Schools Model United Nations Conference (HabsMUN)! Affiliated with THIMUN, HabsMUN is a prestigious international conference, and with this year's theme being ‘Bridging Divides’, it promises to be our best yet.

There is no doubt that the global landscape is rapidly shifting. The need for young leaders to actively engage with issues like the aftermath of COVID-19, geopolitical conflicts such as the war in Ukraine, and the accelerating climate crisis has never been more urgent . At HabsMUN, students will have the opportunity to not only debate these critical issues but also to think outside the box, forge creative solutions, and collaborate across cultures and perspectives.

HabsMUN runs over three days, during which participants will get the opportunity to come up with creative solutions to real world problems, refine their public speaking skills and form alliances, all with the aim of passing resolutions to change the world as we know it. With each participant representing a UN member state, MUN will encourage them to look at global issues from different perspectives.

The conference will kick off on the Friday night with an opening ceremony and lobbying, where delegates will get to know their committees. On Saturday they will debate within committees, with Sunday consisting of General Assembly, where only the strongest resolutions will be debated in front of a hall full of delegates from across the committees.

Whether a participant is a beginner or well-seasoned at MUN, our range of committees accommodates all abilities. MUN fosters both intellectual and inter-personal skills and we encourage all to attend this weekend of debate and diplomacy!
