Topic 1: Economic Empowerment of Women in Post-Conflict Recovery Description: In the aftermath of armed conflicts, women often bear the brunt of economic devastation — facing job loss, poverty, and social exclusion. Yet, they are also powerful agents of change in rebuilding war-torn societies. This agenda focuses on implementing gender-responsive economic recovery plans that provide women with access to microfinance, education, land rights, entrepreneurship training, and participation in public works. Delegates will explore international cooperation frameworks to ensure women are not sidelined in reconstruction but are supported as central actors in achieving long-term peace and sustainable development.
