About

As the geopolitical tensions are rising, skyrocketing energy prices have led into an existential cost-of-living crisis for hundreds of millions of people, threatening the most vulnerable communities.

Regardless of the alarming situation, major energy companies report profits out of the struggles of the poor, which was described as being “immoral” according to the UN Secretary General António Guterres.

The ongoing global energy crisis is a stark reminder of the need for energy resilience and stronger push for the transition to renewable energy.

This year, EPFL MUN has chosen the theme of the conference as “the Global Energy Crisis”. Our goal is to create a common ground for attendees from all around the world, where they will be immersing themselves in an intellectually demanding environment, adopting other perspectives, and employing the art of negotiation to achieve meaningful resolutions.

The conference will take place on the beautiful campus of EPFL in Lausanne, placed near the lake of Geneva from the 30th of March to the 2nd of April.

As a host, our committee has prepared some exciting activities that will allow all of our attendees to discover the night life in the city. We will strive to offer you a memorable experience in Lausanne!

We will be looking forward to meeting you.

Sincerely,

The Committee of EPFL MUN
