From MUN Beginners to Pro Delegates

If you're new to Model United Nations, mark your calendar from 27 February to 1 March 2026—this could be your first unforgettable step into the world of international diplomacy. For more experienced delegates, advanced committees such as the Security Council provide a challenging platform to engage in high-level negotiations and debate.

What Is BayernMUN?

BayernMUN is an international Model United Nations conference organized by the United Nations Society Nuremberg (UNSN). With over a decade of dedication to political education and the promotion of democratic values, BayernMUN has been held annually since 2012—and our 15th edition is just around the corner.

• Where: Kaiserburg Castle, Nuremberg, Germany
• Delegates: 150–200 participants from all over the world
  
   

Simulated Committees at BayernMUN 2026:

You will represent a country in one of the following committees, addressing pressing global issues:

1. United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC)

• (1) Combating Intolerance and Discrimination Based on Religion or Belief
• (2) Protecting and Promoting Human Rights to Prevent and Counter Violent Extremism
   

2. Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)

• (1) Promoting Access to Affordable, Reliable, Sustainable, and Modern Energy for All
• (2) Empowering Women and Girls in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
   

3. United Nations Security Council (UNSC)

• (1) Protection of Civilians in the Context of Peacekeeping Operations
• (2) Humanitarian Exemptions in Sanctions Regimes
  
   

Why Nuremberg?

Nuremberg is globally recognized for its historical and modern commitment to human rights and international justice. BayernMUN 2026 takes place in Kaiserburg Castle, specifically in the stunning Eppelein Hall, the city’s highest point—offering a breathtaking view of a wintry Nuremberg.

Where Should I Stay?

Stay where diplomacy happens! Kaiserburg Castle also offers on-site accommodation, meaning you can wake up and walk straight into your committee sessions. Our castle accommodation package includes lodging, conference access, and unforgettable views right from your window.

Registration is open from 4 August 2025 to 31 January 2026.
