Lesson 10 min 20 XP
Energy and Focus Management
The physical and mental side of conference performance — sleep, breaks, and sustaining intensity.
Conference performance is as much physical as intellectual. A 2-day conference might run 8-10 hours each day — that's 16-20 hours of sustained social and cognitive effort. Delegates who don't manage their energy make worse decisions, give weaker speeches, and lose focus in the critical final sessions.
Professional diplomats know this. UN negotiations build in breaks, meals are strategic, and experienced negotiators protect their energy for key moments. You should too.
