Foreign Policy

Grenada maintains close ties with the United States, the United Kingdom, and other Commonwealth nations. It is an active member of CARICOM and the OECS, and coordinates with these blocs on trade, security, and climate policy.

Grenada's foreign policy emphasises climate resilience, blue economy development, debt sustainability, and maintaining good relations with major development partners. The country has been a proponent of the Caribbean Community's common foreign policy positions.

MUN Delegate Guide

As Grenada, you bring the perspective of a micro-state that has experienced both foreign invasion and catastrophic natural disaster. Use these experiences to advocate powerfully for sovereignty, non-intervention, and climate resilience.

Coordinate with OECS and CARICOM partners -- Caribbean unity is essential for small island voices to be heard. Grenada's spice exports and growing blue economy give you talking points on trade fairness, biodiversity, and sustainable ocean use.

In negotiations, leverage your General Assembly vote -- larger states need small-state coalitions to pass resolutions. Use this voting power strategically to advance SIDS priorities on climate, debt, and development.
