In an era marked by rapid technological advancements and geopolitical shifts, understanding and adapting defense strategies are paramount. The event's focus on self-reliance underscores a broader trend among nations to bolster their indigenous defense capabilities, reducing dependence on external sources and strengthening strategic autonomy. The outcomes of these discussions can have far-reaching implications for national defense planning and resource allocation. ## How to prepare Delegates preparing for the SwaRaksha Mahotsav should focus on understanding the multifaceted nature of national security, particularly within the context of IND. Familiarity with concepts such as "adaptive cyber defense" and the implications of an "[artificial intelligence arms race](https://modeldiplomat.com/learn/glossary/artificial-intelligence-arms-race)" will be beneficial. Research into IND's current defense posture, its strategic partnerships, and its indigenous defense production capabilities will provide a strong foundation for engagement. Consider how different stakeholders, including military, government, industry, and academia, contribute to national security. Applying lessons from "what is stakeholder mapping?" and "hidden stakeholders" can help in identifying key actors and their potential influence on policy and strategy. Developing "engagement strategies" to interact effectively with these diverse groups will be crucial for meaningful participation. Furthermore, understanding the "dynamic analysis" of regional security challenges and their global implications will allow for more informed contributions to the discussions. ## Country perspectives Where the most-relevant 1 countries stand on the core issues in play.
