Held in Helsinki, FIN, it serves as a platform for industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to converge and discuss the evolving landscape of these critical fields. The event aims to foster collaboration, showcase advancements, and address contemporary challenges across these interconnected domains. ## Why it matters The convergence of defense, security, space, and aviation at SecD-Day highlights the increasing interconnectedness of these sectors in modern geopolitical and technological contexts. Developments in one area often have profound implications for the others, necessitating integrated strategies and solutions. For instance, advancements in space technology are crucial for modern defense capabilities, while aviation security is intrinsically linked to broader national security concerns. The event's focus on these areas underscores the need for a holistic approach to national and international security. Furthermore, the event provides a vital forum for stakeholders to engage in dialogue regarding emerging threats and opportunities. From cybersecurity challenges affecting defense systems to the strategic importance of space assets, the discussions at SecD-Day are pertinent to understanding the future trajectory of global security. The gathering in Helsinki, FIN, offers a unique European perspective on these issues, contributing to a broader international discourse on defense and security policy. ## How to prepare Delegates preparing for SecD-Day should consider undertaking a thorough stakeholder mapping exercise. Understanding the various actors present, including government officials, industry representatives, and academic experts, is crucial for effective engagement. The lesson on "what-is-stakeholder-mapping" provides a foundational understanding, while "stakeholder-workshop" offers practical guidance for identifying key players and their interests. Given the diverse range of topics, from defense and security to space and aviation, delegates should also prepare to engage with complex, multi-faceted issues. Employing "dynamic-analysis" techniques can help in dissecting the interdependencies between these sectors and anticipating potential future developments. Additionally, considering "hidden-stakeholders" who may not be immediately apparent but hold significant influence can enhance strategic planning and networking efforts at the event. Effective "engagement-strategies" will be key to maximizing participation and achieving desired outcomes. ## Country perspectives Where the most-relevant 1 countries stand on the core issues in play.
