IPL MUN
**IPL MUN** is a mixed-level Model United Nations conference held in Chennai, India on July 11–12, 2026. Participants represent UN member states in simulated committees, drafting and debating resolutions on global issues while developing diplomatic negotiation, public speaking, and policy research skills.
Why it matters
A virtual conference can make participation more accessible, especially for students who want to build MUN experience without traveling. For delegates at different experience levels, a mixed-eligibility event can also create space for both learning and meaningful debate.
Because this is a Model UN conference, it offers a chance to practice research, public speaking, negotiation, and resolution writing in a structured setting. These are useful skills whether you are new to MUN or looking to stay active between in-person conferences.
How to prepare
Since committees are not listed, start by strengthening the core skills that apply across most Model UN settings: researching country policy, writing clear opening speeches, and practicing moderated and unmoderated caucus speaking. It is also worth reviewing how to draft working papers and resolutions so you can contribute quickly once committee details are available.
Because the event is virtual, prepare your setup in advance. Test your internet connection, microphone, camera, and meeting environment, and practice delivering short speeches on screen with clear pacing and eye contact. Having organized digital notes will also help you respond quickly during debate.
